January 15, 1919 was an unusually warm day in Boston. As World War I came to an end and Prohibition was about to be ratified, a molasses tank on the North End ruptured, destroying a neighborhood. How did it happen? What did it mean? Can we ever understand?
For three regular people caught up in the disaster, it started as a normal Wednesday and ended up throwing into question their very concept of society, reality, and time itself.
The Great Molasses Flood is a weird historical fiction campaign based on a real-life disaster using the Rosette Diceless system from Future Proof Games, a system designed in part by Gregory, the host and GM.
It’s coming soon.
The theme song for this campaign is “Great Molasses Disaster” by Robin Aigner and Parlor Game, available under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 license.
